The BEEP Camp for students is held annually by The Indo-Swiss Building Energy Efficiency Project and CEPT University. The camp is designed for students (in the domains of architecture, planning and engineering) and young professionals.
CEPT University focuses on understanding, designing, planning, constructing and managing human habitats. Its teaching programs aim to build thoughtful professionals and its research programs deepen understanding of human settlements. CEPT University also undertakes advisory projects to further the goal of making habitats more liveable.
Building Energy Efficiency Project (BEEP) is a bilateral cooperation project between the Ministry of Power, Government of India, and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) of the Swiss Confederation. Started in 2011, the project’s central focus is to help India mainstream energy-efficient and thermally comfortable (EETC) building design for both commercial and residential buildings. BEEP works with building industry, policy makers, and building owners to catalyse adoption of EETC building design and technologies. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is the implementing agency on behalf of the Ministry of Power while the Global Programme Climate Change and Environment of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) oversees the project on behalf of FDFA. The project is managed by a Project Management and Technical Unit, with Effin’Art on the Swiss side and Greentech Knowledge Solutions on the Indian side.
